Thematic Experts

We are seeking passionate experts to collaborate with us globally on impactful projects, focusing on migration, education, disability and inclusion, and child protection. Join our team and contribute to positive change worldwide!

We are currently implementing several assignments for different clients globally and are seeking external contractors to support us in performing a range of evaluations, research, and other projects, particularly in the fields of migration, education, disability and inclusion, and child protection in various countries. This cooperation will be on an as-needed basis, with conditions (fees, timeline, scope of work, etc.) agreed upon for each separate assignment. This includes working with ARSIC to pursue new consultancy assignments. 

 

Currently, we are, as a priority, looking for experts with the following profiles: 

 

  • Education Expert 

  • Migration and displacement Expert 

  • Child Rights and Protection Expert 

  • Disability and Inclusion Expert 

  • Livelihood Expert

Location: Remote positions worldwide. We particularly encourage experts from ARSIC priority countries and continents in Southeast Asia, Eastern and Southern Africa, Central Asia, and Eastern Europe to apply. 

Contract type: External contractors with separate contracts drafted for each specific assignment. 

Start date: Depending on the assignment.  

Application deadline: 30.11.2024 (applications will reviewed on an ongoing basis) 

About the Role.

Tasks will vary significantly and depend on individual experience levels, including: 

 

Conducting in-depth desk reviews on relevant topics 

Carrying out legal and policy analysis 

Supporting the design of research questions and data collection tools 

Assisting in evaluations, including data collection using appropriate guidelines and tools 

Performing administrative tasks, including data entry 

Other tasks as agreed for specific assignments 

Work hours, assignment scope, and daily fee and payment modalities will be agreed for each assignment specifically. 

Required Qualification.

  • Master’s degree in international development, human rights, political sciences, sociology, and/or other relevant fields 

  • Relevant research, evaluation, training, and other work experience at national and international levels related to thematic expertise; excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities 

  • Expertise in one or more of ARSIC's focus areas listed above   

  • Flexibility and ability to work across time zones (if required by the contract) and meet milestones and deadlines 

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
