
Kenya-Based Experts and Associates – National & Global Assignments
We are expanding our Kenya-based consultant network for upcoming assignments in Kenya and internationally. We welcome expressions of interest from both senior-level experts (who can lead assignments) and mid-level associates (who can support research and delivery). Engagement is assignment-based and flexible, depending on skills, availability, and assignment needs.

Position Type: External Consultant / Assignment-based
Location: Kenya-based (remote/flexible), with potential national or international travel
Engagement Type: Experts (Lead role) & Junior Consultants (Support Role) - scope of work depending on the past-experiences and type of assignment.
Priority Thematic areas.
We are particularly interested in consultants/experts with experience in one or more of the following areas:

Gender equality, women’s empowerment, and GBV prevention
-
Climate change, environmental justice, and disaster risk reduction (DRR)
-
Social inclusion and the rights of persons with disabilities
-
Child rights and child protection systems
-
Migration, displacement, and humanitarian response
-
AI, digital rights, and Web3 for social impact
-
Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) Experts
Roles & Responsibilities.
Experts (Lead role):
-
Lead evaluations, research, or advisory assignments
Guide methodology design and overall project implementation
Manage partner engagement and ensure quality of deliverables
Junior Consultants (Support Role):
-
Conduct desk reviews, interviews, and assist with fieldwork coordination
-
Contribute to data analysis, writing, and presentations
-
Support technical delivery under the guidance of senior team members
Qualifications and Profile.
-
Based in Kenya, with strong contextual understanding
-
Relevant experience in your area of expertise — we welcome a variety of profiles, including:

Thematic specialists with deep subject-matter knowledge
-
Evaluators, researchers, and data analysts
-
Practitioners from civil society, academia, or grassroots organizations
-

Strong writing, research, and communication skills
-
Fluency in English; Kiswahili and other local languages are an asset
-
Availability for short-term or mid-term assignments (with possibility for longer-term engagement)
