Urgent Assignment: Human Rights Impact Assessment Expert (Indonesia & Kenya)

We are looking for knowledgeable and passionate individuals with a keen interest in Human Rights Impact Assessments (HRIA) to join our team.  

You will be involved in ongoing HRIAs or collaborate on new ARSIC initiatives in this field. This is short term external consultant assignment.

Location: Remote position. Based in Indonesia

Contract type: External contractors with separate contracts drafted for each specific assignment, based on demand with the potential to extend into longer-term collaborations 

Start date: Immediately  

Application deadline: ASAP - no later than 15.07.2024 (applications will reviewed on an ongoing basis) 

Required Qualification.

  • Advanced degree in international development, human rights, political sciences, sociology, and/or other relevant fields

  • Previous experience in HRIA or in the business sector

  • Strong understanding of human rights issues and impact assessment methodologies 

  • Indonesian and Kenyan nationals and based in the country  

  • Flexibility and ability to work across time zones (if required by the contract) and meet milestones and deadlines 

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
